Big M is in great shape when temps are below freezing. Last night the trail was rock solid with no icy spots. Just a few bumpy patches here and there from deer tracks and some hiker footprints at the start of the Outer Loop if you head out clockwise.
The Fire Tower Loop remains un-groomed.
The Beginner Loop is similar to the Outer Loop. A combination of nice smooth spots with some bumpy deer track sections.
The temperatures are showing nice overnight lows well below 20 degrees. As long as folks continue to ride when the trail is frozen and not midday when it warms up, we could enjoy these nice Spring fat biking conditions for at least another week or so.
